Get players moving with low 3-touch pepper. This easy warmup drill, presented here by USA girls' youth national team coach Jim Stone, helps players practice 3 critical skills:
1. Making good contact so they can improve ball control.
2. Staying low so they can pop the ball up in the air.
3. Shuffling their feet so they stay behind the ball.
For a greater challenge, advanced players can purposely place the ball outside their partner’s feet. This forces them to adjust their position and play the ball inside their knees rather than reaching out for the ball.
