In this video, Mark Barnard explains a drill that puts pressure on a single player on each side of the net to win points by getting kills. If any other player on on a side gets a kill, it’s a wash, and if anybody makes an error, the “point-scoring” player loses a point.
Barnard, associate head coach at Oregon State who was recently renamed head coach of the Australian women’s national team, likes this drill because it builds accountability among the other five teammates to come through for the hitter who is trying to score points.
