Ben Josephson explains his theory that the best passers are able to "sweet spot" the ball: have it land on the fleshy part of your forearms. If passers are able to get 8 out of 10 passes on the sweet spot of the platform, then location can become the main focus.
Simple drill: To practice player accuracy using the sweet spot, have one passer pass free balls, one at a time, to a target in the setter's position. Have the setter move around and make the passer adapt. Once a player has mastered the sweet spot, location accuracy comes naturally.
