Purpose: Teach proper serving mechanics by building on a basic serving progression.
How it Works: Players will kneel with one knee on the ground on the 10-foot line and practice their serving toss for about 10-15 reps. Next, progress by staying kneeling but serving the ball into the net. Perform 10-15 reps. Next, players will serve the ball over the net to a partner across from them. Practice using a relaxed hand and a solid contact. Lastly, players stand up and shift all of their weight onto the left foot and perform the same serving progression.
Requirements: Several players, a full court and balls.
