Jim Stone shares a few different options for organizing serve receive patterns for the best possible outcome:
- Best passer has "right of way": In every rotation, you'll designate the best passer to cover the seam. This means your best passer may be covering half of the court, since she can cover both the seam to her left and her right. She has the "right of way."
- Seam to the right: In this pattern, whoever is moving to the right to pass the ball has the right of way.
- Seam to the left: In this pattern, whoever is moving to the left to pass the ball has the right of way.
- Who's your best hitter? In this scenario, free up your best hitter from serve receive. Tuck her in a corner to make sure she's available to swing, and have other players shift positions to cover more court.
