Get players warm while working on basic skills with the “shuttle” drill.
In this video, Hall of Fame Coach Bill Neville runs players through a series of setting and passing drills for 90 seconds each. This includes setting, forearm passing, jump setting and, lastly, a self-pass / back set combo.
To increase player intensity and focus, Neville then adds the element of competition. Players run through the same skills, but this time they’re on the clock and racing to beat an opponent. The winner is the first team to complete 30 reps of each skill.
