Purpose: Challenge servers to serve tough and accurately, and challenge passers to work hard for playable passes.
How it works: 2 passers will be on the court, one in right back and the other in left back. All other players will be alternating serving to the 2 passers. Put 2 markers on the passer's side to block off the middle strip of the court. If the server serves out of bounds on either side or into the net, the server must do 2 push-ups. If the server serves the ball long or into the middle section, the server must do one push-up. If they serve into the left back or right back, the player has no punishment.
Next, have 2 passers in right back and middle back. Designate 3 servers to compete against the passers. Two out of the 3 servers must force the passers to pass only a level 0 or 1 pass (not playable by the setter). If the servers lose, they must do 2 push-ups and 2 sit-ups each. If the passers lose, they perform 2 push-ups and 2 sit-ups.
Variations: Switch up the type of conditioning that serves as the consequence for losing. This could be sprints, burpees or another exercise.
Requirements: full court, balls, at least 5 players, a coach
