Knee injuries are fairly common in volleyball, but smart training can help your players reduce the risk.
In this video, University of San Diego assistant coach Marie Zidek introduces a one-legged exercise known as side-to-sides or skaters.
Not only is this a good strengthening drill, it also allows coaches to spot players who may be weaker and less stable when jumping on one leg. Once you have identified those players, you can adjust their training accordingly.
