Clinician: Debbie Brown, former head volleyball coach at University of Notre Dame
Purpose: For passers to get rapid yet focused touches on the ball while focusing on improving a certain aspect of their passing game
How it Works: Isolate a part of the passing game that your players need to work on. Three passers line up in their receiving positions. Three servers stand inside of the court (these can be players or coaches) and alternate feeding serves to first the left side player, then the middle passer and then the right side passer. The passers pass the balls to a target, then return to their starting positions and wait for the next served ball. After 5 or 6 passses each, the players rotate positions clockwise and pass again, this time focusing on a different aspect of their passing. Continue until the passers and the coach feel confident in their passing!
Requirements: At least 3 players, a full court and a cart of balls
