Clinician: Craig Skinner, head coach at University of Kentucky
Purpose: A side out drill that challenges the starting unit to kill the ball on the first swing in all six rotations or extend the rally by limiting unforced errors if there isn't a great opportunity to kill the ball.
How it works: Side A sets up in serve receive in Rotation 1 with a starting score of 19 points. They always receive the serve and can only score with a kill on the first swing. When they get a first ball kill, they get a point and rotate. Side B starts with 15 points and gets a point every time they score. If they make an unforced error, they lose a point. Play to 25 points.
Variation: Adjust the starting score of Side B to make it easier or more difficult for them to win.
Requirements: A full court, 12 players and a ball
