Mike Sealy of UCLA talks taking stats on the opposing team during live matches. He highlights several charts he religiously makes during matches: where the other team’s serves land, where they attack on the court, and which hitters the setter relies on to get kills. When Sealy also tracks his own team’s serving tendencies, he can determine which of the opposing team’s rotations are the weakest, and which rotations are reliably siding out and forcing his team to lose points.
