Clinician: Tom Hilbert, head women’s volleyball coach at Colorado State University
Purpose: To practice middle and right side kill combinations
How it works: Set up with two teams of six. Team A receives and must attempt a first ball kill from either the middle or right side attacker. If they succeed, they get a free ball toss for a second kill attempt. If not, it’s a wash and Team B gets to serve receive. The setter may set other players, but those hitters can only hit ¾ speed to zones 5 or 6. When a team gets two consecutive kills, they earn one BIG point. Each game starts at 22-22 and the first team to 25 wins.
Requirements: 12 players, a cart of balls, a full court and a coach
