Chris Catanach breaks down the importance of the final two steps of the attacking footwork - and offers a drill that requires attackers to use their "right-left" final steps of the approach to adjust to different set locations.
How it works: One attacker starts on the ten-foot line in a ready stance. One coach tosses sets in different locations in front of, behind, to the left and to the right of the attacker. The attacker uses her final right-left steps of the approach to adjust to the location of the set. The attacker lands light, loaded and ready to jump each toss.
Requirements: A coach, attacker and balls.
