Purpose: This warm-up is based on a progression of several exercises that increase mobility, flexibility and increase the heart rate to prime the body for performance.
How it works: The first exercise is the calf smash using a barbell to release tension in the calf musculature. The second progression is the banded squat using a resistance band for tension and an object for stabilization. The last progression is a dynamic squat underneath a barbell, increasing mobility in the lower extremities.
Requirements: A barbell, a resistance band, a squat rack
