Purpose: In this standing volleyball drill, anything goes - except for jumping. Players must get creative to win points. Use it as a warmup drill to get players moving, talking and competing early in practice.
How it Works: Four players are on each side of the net, in back-row attack formation with one setter in the front row. Play back-row attack as you normally would, but there's a catch: no one is allowed to jump. To win a point, players must get creative about how to put the ball where the other team is not. This can include tipping, shoving a set deep to the corner of the court, or hitting a hard standing swing.
Requirements: At least eight players, a full court and balls.
