Purpose: A simple warm-up for medium to advanced players that incorporates ball control and controlled hitting.
How it Works: Two players begin in right front on opposite sides of the net. Two more players are in left front on opposite sides of the net. Each player bumps, sets and hits over the net (performing all three touches in a row) to their partner across the court. For an added challenge or progression, ask players to switch sides of the net while keeping the ball in play. Lastly, progress the drill by asking the players to move deeper into the court. You can keep backing players up until they are near the end line. Players should consistently perform a full approach when attacking the ball and stay low when digging the ball.
Requirements: At least four players, a full court and balls.
