This 2 vs. 2 drill improves hitting control by requiring attackers to put the ball in certain areas of the court. In the video, you’ll follow seven progressions demonstrated by a team from Silver State Volleyball Club in Carson City, Nevada, coached by Jim Saari. They are:
- Crosscourt back-row hits from the left side with no jump
- Crosscourt back-row hits from the left side with a jump
- Line hitting from the back row with a jump
- Crosscourt back-row hits from the right side with a jump
- Adding serve and serve-receive
- Line hitting with one player deep and one player blocking
- 1 vs. 1 with a neutral setter going back and forth under the net
