In this video, University of Colorado coach Jesse Mahoney runs the team through the first swing kill drill.
How it works: Side A serves the entire drill. In order for Side B to rotate, they need to get a kill on the first swing.
In this case, Mahoney chose to score the drill based off of the first pass in the rally. For example, if the first pass on Side B is a 3, the team can earn 3 points by getting a first swing kill. If they pass a 1, they can only earn 1 point off of that rally by getting a kill on the first swing.
To win, Side B is trying to get 15 points off of first swing kills before Side A gets 6 real points.
