FAQs

Will I have to stay at my computer the whole day?

Not if you don’t want to! You have the option to come and go as you please. You can choose the sessions that most interest you and take a break whenever you need, or participate from start to finish. You can even close your computer and exit the clinic, then rejoin at a later time. Whatever works best for you.

Will there be breaks?

Absolutely! There will be breaks for bathroom trips, snacks and moving around worked in throughout the day, along with a 30-minute break for lunch.

How will the group activities work?

We'll split attendees into random small groups of coaches and send each group into their own video chat for the duration of the activity. This will allow attendees to share ideas and discuss tactics without being overwhelmed by a large number of coaches trying to talk at once.

How much do I have to participate?

It’s totally up to you! You can participate as much or as little as you want. We think you'll have more fun if you join in on the group sharing, but you can also just use the event as a straightforward clinic experience where you just watch the sessions from the presenting coaches, if that’s what you prefer.

When will the clinicians address questions?

They'll do their best to answer questions throughout the clinic. If a good question pops up during a session (that’s relevant to the current topic), they might answer it right then. Each session has a 5-10 minute period at the end for questions. Then after the clinic ends on Saturday and you’ve had some time to review your notes, the clinicians will be joining us again on Sunday, October 11 for a 90-minute session to answer more questions.

What if I'm new to coaching?

Awesome! This clinic is a great way to kick off your coaching journey. Sessions cover the fundamentals of teaching skills and practice planning, which are essentials for any new coach. You’ll walk away with dozens of useful ideas, drills and strategies you can implement with you team, along with a network of fellow coaches you can learn from in the future.

What if I’ve been coaching for decades?

Fantastic! This is a great opportunity for you to both share your own knowledge and pick up some fresh ideas from your peers and the presenting coaches.

Can I participate if I’m not in the U.S.?

Definitely! Coaches all over the world have different methods of coaching, and this is a great format to learn and share new ideas. You just need to be able to be on your computer between 9am and 4pm Pacific Daylight Time on October 10, 2020.

What technology do I need in order to participate?

All you need is a computer or tablet with a mic and camera. You can also join from your smartphone, but it won't give you the best clinic experience. You'll also need to have Zoom downloaded on whatever device you're using.

Is there a discount for groups?

There aren’t any group discounts available at this time, but AOC Premium members save $20 on tickets. If you have a special situation where you’d like to purchase tickets for 10 or more coaches, please email us at [email protected].

7 hours of fun to become a better coach.
