Proper set-up, or “loading,” promotes good passing. When working with her University of Wisconsin passers, Assistant Coach Brittany Dildine looks for the following “loading” elements in their setups.
- Balance in the center of the feet
- Ankles and knees bent, hips under the body
- Hands in front of body
- Shoulders and small of back rounded
- Re-balance after contact
